Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis using ANSYS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing/validation in lab environments
- Optimize designs for manufacturability using DFM principles
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assembly modeling
- Strong knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Familiarity with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to production
