Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate new concepts
- Optimize designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense sector
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA tools (ANSYS)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and DFM principles
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- ASME certification or PMP designation a plus
