Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop thermal management systems using advanced CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA simulation
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate complex electromechanical systems
- Design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly optimization for high-volume production
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes under real-world operating conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure technical excellence
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation software
- Proven track record in thermal system design and heat transfer analysis
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GD&T standards for manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of materials science including composites and advanced alloys
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for Texas licensure
- Portfolio demonstrating complex mechanical design solutions
