Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace propulsion components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop manufacturing processes and collaborate with production teams
- Create detailed technical documentation and compliance reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, quality assurance)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace/mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- FAA certification or aerospace industry experience required
