Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize complex assemblies for aerospace applications
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on DFM/DFA initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical documentation standards
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME standards
- Experience with materials selection for high-stress environments
- Proven project leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
