In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for next-generation robotic systems, pushing the boundaries of precision, durability, and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM systems.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead prototyping efforts, from rapid 3D printing to final functional assembly and testing.
- Select and qualify vendors for custom machined and molded components.
- Establish technical documentation, including assembly drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in mechanical design and GD&T.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical system design, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
- Strong grasp of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and DFM/DFA principles.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to full-scale production.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in ANSYS or similar simulation tools.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
