Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems.
- Execute complex FEA and thermal simulations to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in electrical, software, and controls engineering.
- Generate detailed CAD models and technical drawings adhering to ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Oversee prototype fabrication and perform rigorous root-cause analysis on testing failures.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in mechanical design standards.
- Manage design documentation and bill of materials (BOM) through the PLM system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expertise in SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- Strong background in GD&T and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Proven proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering projects on schedule.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
