Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop detailed CAD models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for complex assemblies
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to optimize performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated solutions
- Design and validate test procedures for mechanical systems and components
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in automotive or energy sector product launches
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
