Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to prototyping
- Develop advanced CAD models using SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Optimize thermal management systems for high-performance aerospace components
- Collaborate with materials lab to validate composite and alloy performance
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Drive DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) processes
- Interface with manufacturing teams to ensure producible designs
Qualifications
- BSME or MSME with 5+ years in aerospace/mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Nastran)
- Proven experience with thermodynamics and heat transfer systems
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis
- Strong background in composite material design and testing
- Project management experience with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA aerospace regulatory standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach
