Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications adhering to AS9100 standards
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to test and iterate designs under real-world conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize design workflows for efficiency
- Interface with suppliers to source precision components and materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to production
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain
