Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace propulsion components using SolidWorks and NX CAD
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop manufacturing specifications and collaborate with production teams for precision fabrication
- Conduct rigorous testing protocols including vibration, thermal, and pressure validation
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize design lifecycle processes
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into actionable engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/NX and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL)
- Deep knowledge of materials science for extreme environments (titanium, composites, superalloys)
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and aerospace manufacturing processes
- Active P.E. license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with propulsion systems or UAV design highly desirable
