Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production
- Develop detailed CAD models using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate designs
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance
- Prepare technical documentation including BOMs and assembly drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive or automation systems
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects
