Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from conceptualization to prototyping using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and optimize precision components for high-performance aerospace applications
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate designs
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with suppliers to source specialized materials and components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with aerospace or defense sector
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD/CAM tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
