Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of complex robotic systems and sub-assemblies.
- Perform structural analysis, thermal modeling, and FEA to validate component performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and systems engineering.
- Generate detailed CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing and procurement.
- Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure quality standards.
- Manage vendor relationships for prototype fabrication and component sourcing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical design.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record in designing for CNC, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Strong understanding of GD&T standards and stack-up analysis.
- Experience with motion control systems, gearboxes, and actuator integration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an Agile hardware environment.
