Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components for robotic systems.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and stress analysis to ensure structural integrity under dynamic loads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical and software engineers to optimize system integration.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from conceptualization and prototyping to mass production.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design and GD&T.
- Coordinate with manufacturing vendors to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) standards are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in robotics or high-precision mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with high-cycle fatigue, kinematics, and dynamic simulation.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical products from prototype to market.
