Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex robotic arm assemblies and precision motion systems.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal simulations to ensure product reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Oversee rapid prototyping processes and manage transition to high-volume manufacturing.
- Perform detailed root-cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement robust design improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in machine design or automation.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor with advanced surfacing skills.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept to mass production.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical design reviews.
