Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through production release
- Utilize SolidWorks and ANSYS for complex 3D modeling, simulation, and FEA analysis
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including BOMs, GD&T specifications, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost-effective production
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies for product innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (FEA/CFD)
- Strong background in automotive component design and DFM principles
- Proven track record of managing product development lifecycles
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and APQP processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
