Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems.
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and thermal efficiency.
- Select optimal materials and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, additive manufacturing) to balance performance and cost.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance analyses, and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) assessments.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical CAD standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design for high-precision equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Siemens NX.
- Strong background in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to production.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems and configuration management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
