Responsibilities
- Architect and design complex mechanical assemblies for robotic systems from initial concept to mass production.
- Conduct detailed FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimize performance under load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, software, and manufacturing engineering, to integrate sub-systems seamlessly.
- Select and specify materials, fasteners, and standard components based on mechanical requirements and cost-efficiency.
- Create and manage comprehensive 3D CAD models, detailed assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Lead design reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Oversee prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting phases in our state-of-the-art lab.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong background in GD&T and ISO/ASME design standards.
- Proven expertise in manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with motor sizing, gearboxes, and precision actuation systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of solving complex electromechanical design challenges.
