Responsibilities
- Design and iterate complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and FEA analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into robotic architectures.
- Oversee rapid prototyping processes and conduct rigorous performance testing.
- Optimize components for weight, durability, and manufacturability (DFM).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Manage vendor relationships for specialized component procurement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing product life cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in robotics or precision automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or NX).
- Demonstrated success in leading full-cycle product development projects.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material science, and kinematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high aptitude for analytical thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
