Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace propulsion components using SolidWorks and CATIA
  • Perform FEA/CFD simulations using ANSYS to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
  • Generate detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications per ASME Y14.5
  • Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize composite/metal selection for weight/strength balance
  • Develop test protocols and oversee prototype validation in our state-of-the-art labs
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
  • Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA certification standards and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/automotive industries
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS simulation tools
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
  • Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5M) and/or PMP a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering FAA-certified aerospace components
