Responsibilities
- Design and develop intricate mechanical systems for robotic actuators and gantry structures.
- Conduct rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity under dynamic loads.
- Select materials and manufacturing processes that optimize weight, cost, and durability.
- Collaborate with electrical and firmware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Draft detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready technical drawings (GD&T standards).
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineering staff.
- Manage prototype builds, testing, and iterative improvement cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or PTC Creo.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical designs from concept to production.
- Experience with motion control systems, gearboxes, and precision bearings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an Agile team environment.
