In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design lifecycle of next-generation robotic systems, pushing the boundaries of precision engineering and mechanical efficiency.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of software, electrical, and control engineers to deliver high-impact hardware solutions that define our industry-leading portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex robotic sub-assemblies and integrated systems.
- Perform detailed FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and system reliability.
- Generate comprehensive CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct rigorous prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs in simulated and real-world environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and manufacturability (DFM).
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and PDM systems.
- Proficiency in FEA and kinematic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, MATLAB).
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T standards and ASME Y14.5.
- Strong background in precision machining, additive manufacturing, and injection molding processes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical integration challenges.
