Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems and modular frames.
- Execute complex tolerance analysis and structural FEA simulations to ensure long-term durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics, sensors, and actuators seamlessly.
- Define and maintain technical documentation, CAD standards, and BOM accuracy.
- Conduct design reviews and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices in mechanical engineering and CAD workflow optimization.
- Drive prototype development and rapid iteration through hands-on testing and validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical product design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor with advanced surfacing and assembly management skills.
- Proven track record in high-precision component design for manufacturing (CNC, Injection Molding, Additive Manufacturing).
- Deep understanding of GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5).
- Strong experience with motion control systems, gearboxes, and linkage design.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and technical deliverables in an Agile environment.
