Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing/validation
- Collaborate with suppliers for component sourcing and DFM optimization
- Mentor junior engineers and design reviews
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal)
- Experience with automotive systems or powertrain components
- PMP or PE certification a plus
- Demonstrated success in bringing products from concept to production
