You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into production-ready components, leveraging state-of-the-art CAD tools and simulation technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in electric vehicle powertrains and autonomous vehicle systems while mentoring junior engineers and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize mechanical components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis for structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Lead prototype testing and validation cycles in lab environments
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams for system integration
- Implement DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in automotive or aerospace mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA and PDM systems
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) required
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB tools
- Proven track record in rapid prototyping and testing
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
