Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for EV powertrain components using SolidWorks and NX
- Execute FEA/CFD simulations (ANSYS, Abaqus) to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for high-volume production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, materials) on integrated system solutions
- Prototype testing and validation in dynamic laboratory settings
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and material science
- Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid prototyping methods
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making ability
- Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
