Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and optimize complex assemblies for aerospace propulsion components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design excellence through robust engineering reviews
- Interface with suppliers to source critical components and materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Deep understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems to production
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance if required
