Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and development of complex automotive subsystems and components.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) to create detailed 2D and 3D models and production drawings.
- Conduct thorough failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
- Oversee prototyping processes, including 3D printing, machining, and rapid tooling.
- Perform hands-on testing and validation of prototypes in controlled environments.
- Prepare technical documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials) and design specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other advanced CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products from concept to production.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
