Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects for aerospace components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed CAD models, assemblies, and technical documentation
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, weight, and performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on prototyping and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T principles
- Strong background in materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of complex system integration
- ASME certification or equivalent professional credentials
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
