Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace propulsion components using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications compliant with AS9100 standards
- Collaborate with materials engineers to optimize component performance and weight
- Conduct prototype testing and validation in our advanced test facilities
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation suite
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, composites, additive manufacturing)
- Certification in AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems
- Demonstrated experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
