In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of complex robotic systems, transforming cutting-edge concepts into high-performance hardware reality.
You will work in a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with cross-functional teams of software and electrical engineers to push the boundaries of precision robotics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle of complex robotic sub-assemblies from conceptualization to mass production.
- Perform advanced FEA and CFD simulations to optimize structural integrity and thermal management.
- Select and validate materials and components to ensure durability, cost-efficiency, and industry compliance.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and conduct rigorous design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) protocols.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct root-cause analysis on prototype failures and implement robust design iterations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically within robotics or automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX).
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting aggressive product launch timelines.
- Deep understanding of GD&T standards, material science, and kinematics.
- Experience in high-precision motion control and actuator design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
