Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept prototyping to production validation
- Develop detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and Creo
- Conduct FEA simulations for stress/thermal analysis and optimize structural performance
- Drive DFM initiatives to ensure cost-effective manufacturing scalability
- Interface with suppliers to source precision components and validate tolerances
- Mentor junior engineers and implement best practices in design documentation
- Present technical solutions to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-precision industries
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and material science
- Experience with rapid prototyping and validation testing methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly desirable
