Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and prototyping process using advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
- Conduct detailed stress analysis, thermal analysis, and material selection to optimize product performance and durability.
- Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and detailed engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot design issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or ANSYS preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
