Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems from concept through production.
- Utilize SolidWorks or Creo to create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
- Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure component integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software engineering teams for system integration.
- Manage design reviews, tolerance stacks, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for high-precision assemblies.
- Support prototype builds and validate testing protocols in a hands-on laboratory environment.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion design-for-manufacturing (DFM) best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and material selection for high-stress environments.
- Proven track record of managing projects through the full product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with motion control systems, robotics, or electro-mechanical actuators.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-departmental communication skills.
