Responsibilities
- Design and develop sophisticated mechanical components and sub-assemblies for robotic systems.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.
- Manage the product lifecycle from initial conceptualization through prototyping to full-scale production.
- Perform root-cause analysis on design failures and implement robust engineering solutions.
- Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically in robotics or automated machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- Strong background in GD&T and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Deep understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and materials science.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting aggressive production timelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
