In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design lifecycle of complex robotic systems, working at the intersection of precision engineering and cutting-edge software integration.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of what is possible in manufacturing, focusing on durability, efficiency, and human-machine interaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of high-precision robotic components from conceptualization through to production.
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure code compliance and performance standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimize Design for Manufacturing (DFM) processes.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including assembly drawings, BOMs, and compliance reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing product reliability and lifecycle performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical system design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor).
- Proven experience in material selection, tolerance analysis, and mechanical assembly design.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical integration and motion control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
