Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of precision robotic arm assemblies and end-effectors.
- Execute complex CAD modeling using SolidWorks or Creo to ensure structural integrity and manufacturability.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and kinematic simulations to validate design performance under load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Oversee the transition from prototype to mass production, including DFx (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design standards.
- Manage technical documentation, BOM structures, and project timelines for critical product milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or precision manufacturing.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Proven track record of managing product development lifecycles from concept to launch.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems and version control for mechanical assets.
