Responsibilities

  • Design and iterate complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks or Creo for high-speed robotics.
  • Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance under extreme conditions.
  • Lead DFM (Design for Manufacturing) initiatives to optimize production costs and assembly timelines.
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to integrate actuators, sensors, and control systems.
  • Manage the full product development lifecycle, from conceptual prototyping to final production validation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical drafting and design standards.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly manuals, and testing reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design, ideally in robotics or heavy automation.
  • Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong understanding of material science, mechanical fasteners, and motion control components.
  • Proven ability to perform GD&T to industry standards (ASME Y14.5).
  • Experience with CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading collaborative technical projects.
