Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and GD&T specifications
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new concepts
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and automotive industry requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, casting, machining)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
