Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization through to production-ready prototypes.
- Conduct advanced FEA and CFD simulations to optimize structural integrity and thermal management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Select and qualify materials and components that meet rigorous performance and safety standards.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the fabrication process to ensure high-quality output.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in robotics or precision mechanical design.
- Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Strong background in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and implement effective engineering changes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards (ISO/ANSI) preferred.
