Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical components for robotic systems using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and thermal management.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Oversee rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative design refinement cycles.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry safety standards and quality regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or industrial automation.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo) and PDM systems.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material science, and mechanical tolerance analysis.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with motion control systems or high-precision actuators is a distinct advantage.
