Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems.
- Perform high-fidelity FEA and thermal analysis to optimize component reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into hardware systems.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from initial conceptual design to prototype validation.
- Define and implement design standards to ensure high-performance, manufacturable components.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for CAD and DFM/DFA.
- Evaluate and qualify vendors for high-precision machining and additive manufacturing parts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection.
- Demonstrated experience with high-precision motion control systems or robotics.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept through mass production.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in an agile, fast-paced environment.
