Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies for robotic systems from concept to mass production.
- Perform detailed FEA and CFD analysis to optimize component performance and structural integrity.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical and firmware teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Select and qualify materials, bearings, motors, and transmission components for high-cycle environments.
- Create comprehensive engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in CAD standards and rapid prototyping.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) to improve manufacturability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or high-precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong background in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFS (Design for Serviceability).
- Proven experience with precision machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to perform advanced stress, strain, and thermal simulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence technical stakeholders.
