Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle design of complex robotic sub-assemblies and machine components.
- Perform detailed FEA and structural analysis to ensure high-cycle reliability.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
- Mentorship of junior engineers and conducting comprehensive design reviews.
- Optimize mechanical designs for cost-reduction, weight efficiency, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in high-precision electromechanical design.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through production.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material selection, and surface finish specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical cross-functional teams.
