Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and robotic end-effectors.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial prototyping to design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precision assembly and reliability.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design documentation.
- Source materials and components while maintaining strict compliance with industry safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or robotics.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or PTC Creo.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept to production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is considered a significant plus.
