Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate product durability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for high-volume production.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation phases to ensure compliance with ISO and ASTM standards.
- Optimize existing product designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and 3D modeling software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and metal stamping.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
