We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance throughput and reduce waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot complex machinery issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Cost Reduction: Develop and execute strategies to reduce material costs and labor hours without compromising product quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the design and launch of new products, providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to establish and monitor quality control standards and inspection protocols.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including process sheets, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or high-precision machining.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and experience with CNC programming (G-Code).
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and Kaizen methodologies.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
