Responsibilities
- Lead Process Optimization: Spearhead initiatives to redesign workflows, reducing cycle times and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth investigations into production bottlenecks and defects using Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies.
- Automation Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and troubleshoot automated machinery and robotics systems.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and internal protocols, fostering a culture of safety-first production.
- Cost Reduction: Develop and execute cost-saving strategies that improve material utilization without compromising product integrity.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers and production staff, providing technical training and fostering professional growth.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and knowledge of PLC programming is a strong plus.
- Methodologies: Certifications in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing are highly preferred.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
