Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Equipment Leadership: Lead the troubleshooting and maintenance of complex production machinery, including CNC machinery and automated assembly lines.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze production data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies that reduce scrap rates and operational expenditures.
- R&D Collaboration: Work closely with the product design team to translate engineering specifications into manufacturable realities, providing feedback on tooling and assembly methods.
- Project Management: Oversee capital equipment projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and internal safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the automotive or precision machining sector.
- Methodologies: Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and Kaizen.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
